Perform analytical skip-tracing functions via internet, telephone and email with a focus to locate borrowers and resolve delinquent accounts.
**Due to the nature of the work, this position is an IN OFFICE position, working in the Lincoln Square office building**
Requirements:
1. Contact borrowers via telephone, mail, and email to locate and establish payment arrangements to rectify outstanding delinquencies on accounts
2. Contact third parties via telephone, mail to locate borrower demographics.
3. Actively perform skip-tracing activities through various sources/tools in order to locate borrowers
4. Update demographic and other additional information on borrower accounts via the servicing system
5. Determine the most appropriate plan of action to resolve past due accounts. Provide pertinent account information and history information in order to educate the borrowers of the issue at hand
6. Perform additional collection activities related to collections documents and reports
7. Work within Corporate standards subject to quality and quantity.
8. Other duties as assigned

Must reside in the United States and be a United States citizen
This process involves collecting and providing 7 years of previous work experience, previous addresses, and contact information of people that can verify this information
Must not be delinquent or in default with any federal debt
Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education
Starting pay for this role is $17.75/hour
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of customer service experience, collection and general work experience preferred.
