JOB SUMMARY: The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Delaware Water Gap NRA (DEWA), is Apr-Dec, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Primary purpose of the position is to serve as a Maintenance Workder for the unit. MAJOR DUTIES: MAJOR DUTIES: Performs heavy custodial duties at duty stations, visitor sites, and office buildings. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing floors and walls, emptying trash cans, cleaning the restroom facilities (which include cleaning up bodily fluids/waste), and carrying and walking with heavy trash bags ups to 50-60 pounds from one location to another. Operates Park trucks, up to one ton, on a recurring basis for trash and recycling materials removal, grounds-keeping duties and for moving equipment and furniture. Performs semi-skilled and unskilled minor maintenance and repair work on building, structures, and equipment. Must be able to make repairs on faucets, sinks, toilets, and associated plumbing. Paints, stains, and refinishes furnishings. Responsible for trash and recycling barrels and keeps access sites and grounds around building clean and free of trash and debris.
