The Opportunity… Assist in all aspects of a working PV Solar installation warehouse. By maintaining a clean, stocked Warehouse and staging equipment for installation crews. Follow companies Safety and Fleet programs, along with being a back-up for the construction Department. In addition to primary duties. Reports to Warehouse Manager.
- Assist with preparation of installation materials.
- Operate forklift to load or unload equipment.
- Stack and organize large bulky items.
- Ensure workplace is organized, free of debris and remove hazards.
- Maintaining a clean warehouse and fleet.
- Assisting with Fleet services and keeping records.
- Assisting with keeping inventory, Safety equipment and cycle counts.
- Retrieval of needed inventory /equipment.
- Assist with implementing Safety Program.
- Assist with Material recycling and separation.
- Assist Construction Department as needed.
What you need to bring to this role...
- Be a self-starter.
- Some Warehouse, Construction or Solar experience.
- Ability to travel throughout the target territory.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to represent Grid Alternatives positively to diverse populations.
- Ability to work both independently and within diverse teams.
- Must be able to repetitively carry/lift 70lbs.
- Flexibility to embrace change.
- Must be able to work in hot climate.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Able to use technology as part of the position.

Where you will sit and the places you may go… This position may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
Let's Talk Money! This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band, plus the benefits below.
