JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Acadia National Park, in the Visitor and Resource Protection Division. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 12/26/2024 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. Annually, you will work from approximately April to November, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. Major Duties: Serve as a uniformed, front-line representative of the National Park Service, providing current and accurate information and excellent customer service to visitors. Collect fees in accordance with established accountability guidelines while utilizing and troubleshooting fee program-related technologies and equipment. Utilize automated reservation systems such as recreation.gov or similar to process routine transactions and reservations, researching and resolving a variety of non-routine problems. Review fee collection shift records for completeness and accuracy. Perform assignments in accordance with regulations governing the handling of government funds.
