As part of our Competence Center E-Commerce Law, you (all genders) will help shape one of the most important topics of the future through your work on legal sustainability matters: Existing and upcoming sustainability regulation is fundamentally changing the fashion, beauty and lifestyle sectors and you can help set the right path for the future. You will be part of an exciting wider team that is also responsible for legal issues relating to E-Commerce, Logistics, Product Safety and IP. Together with your colleagues, your work will focus on all relevant topics of the EU Green Deal and the related EU and national legal landscape, such as Extended Producer Responsibility, Green Claims, Eco-Design, Circularity or Packaging. You will support these important topics through legal guidance and project work.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

You will support the numerous teams dealing with sustainability topics at Zalando with the rapidly growing legal requirements in this field and, by this, help Zalando to find both the right answers to growing regulation and to achieve its strategic sustainability goals
You will support in the analysis of legal topics at EU and national level and their application in the company
You will set up, support and manage projects that ensure the implementation of legal requirements in the company with your organisational skills and project management talent
You will work within a leading European fashion and lifestyle platform to solve new, innovative approaches - both legally as well as operationally - to the implementation of the EU Green Deal in its many facets

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You have successfully completed a law degree preferable with reference to sustainability or a comparable qualification with excellent results
You have up to 2 years of professional experience from a company or law-firm in the area of sustainability or environmental law (inter alia Extended Producer Responsibility, Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, Green Claims, Eco-Design, Circularity, Corporate Sustainability Reporting or Packaging)
You bring a problem-solving mindset, organisational skills and the ability to drive projects forward (professional experience in the sphere of project management is a plus)
You have an excellent command of English; knowledge of German and other European languages is an advantage
You are interested in familiarising yourself quickly with the issues mentioned and growing with your responsibilities
You are also interested in the economic and business context
You enjoy taking on new challenges, thinking and acting quickly and managing and initiating projects independently
