Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team and play a key role in matching client needs with software offering. This is a pre-sales, high-ownership role, you will be responsible for leading technical engagements with prospective clients.

You will represent our SaaS platform designed to empower the commercial management of renewable energy assets. Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition by enabling asset managers, investors, and operators to extract more value from their renewable portfolios.

In this role, you will:

Serve as the technical expert during the sales process, demonstrating the platform’s capabilities and value proposition.
Lead customised demos, workshops, and test / POCs that are tailored to each client’s needs. After understanding their requirements, organise sessions that demonstrate how the platform delivers tangible benefits and helps progress their journey in the sales lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with the product team to translate customer needs into actionable feedback and potential feature enhancements. Evaluate client requests which sit outside product scope and manage client expectations.
You will be responsible for delivery of product trials end-to-end including liaising with clients, collecting key client data and technically setting up their trial account.
Lead responses to RFPs and RFIs, and where needed, assist in drafting the technical aspects of proposals tailored to client requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them optimise commercial processes using the Streem platform by suggesting best practices and sharing successful client examples.
Serve as the first point of assessment for prospect product extensions by evaluating new feature or functionality requests, assess business impact, and provide recommendations to the Head of Sales and Product Lead on whether to pursue.

Qualifications

Must-have:

Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Finance, or related fields.
Experience:
- 3–5 years in pre-sales, solution engineering, sales consulting, or customer-facing technical roles, ideally in SaaS or renewable energy technology.
- Hands-on experience with asset management, renewable energy markets, or portfolio management.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate complex solutions into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead client workshops, demos, and test / proof-of-concept projects.
- Tech savvy and able to independently navigate the application as administrator
- Comfortable with high ownership and working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have:

Experience in renewable energy front-office functions such as energy market analysis, PPA structuring, portfolio management, or commercial analytics, who have worked closely with customers or commercial teams.
Knowledge of French compensation mechanisms (Feed in tariff, CFD) , regulatory frameworks applicable to renewable energy operators.
