Role Purpose

To support the execution of the Group's sustainability strategy by coordinating sustainability initiatives, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and awareness programmes.

The role provides sustainability expertise and insights to help drive ESG objectives, regulatory compliance, and business performance. It collaborates with stakeholders across the organisation to translate sustainability priorities into practical actions and measurable outcomes. Through effective project coordination, analysis, and communication, the role supports the achievement of the Group's sustainability commitments.

Duties & Responsibilities

Internal Process:

Keep abreast of trends, legislation and developments within the business and the sustainability field
Contribute to the development of the sustainability strategy, plan and support the implementation of the sustainability strategy for Momentum Group
Coordinate the delivery of sustainability-related reports, campaigns and initiatives within agreed time, cost and quality parameters
Collaborate with business stakeholders and the sustainability team, to support the co-creation of business cases to address sustainability issues within Momentum Group.
Engage with stakeholders to create awareness of the implications and advantages of sustainability initiatives such as the carbon footprint, sustainability reporting, ESG ratings performance etcetera, and collaborate with stakeholders to gather the required information in the correct format.
Build effective partnerships with external stakeholders to support sustainability efforts
Engage with key stakeholders to foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing organisational communications and education
Coordinate the execution of communication plans and campaigns required for sustainability initiatives
Measure, monitor and report on progress against sustainability strategies, objectives and performance targets
Present and create awareness regarding sustainability issues at board, executive and management committees
Research sustainability emerging trends and development programs and issues, and communicate and educate senior management on sustainability topics.

Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility

Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery
Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards in order to ensure that clients receive appropriate sustainability-related advice
Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve business processes and performance

Requirements

Business Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability or related degree
5 years in sustainability, ESG, business management experience within the financial services, insurance, banking, investments or a regulated corporate environment.
Project management
Advanced knowledge of sustainability trends, frameworks, regulation and disclosure standard
Advanced proficiency in data analysis and manipulation tools with the capability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
