We are looking for a Dutch-speaking lawyer with a strong interest and expertise in environmental law in an industrial context.

Our Regulatory department

Our regulatory practice – consisting of 25 lawyers – offers legal services ranging from advisory work to contract drafting and litigation. Our lawyers are particularly recognised for their expertise in environmental, energy, planning and zoning, and public procurement law, across all three regions. Our regulatory department offers full-service to its clients as part of an integrated firm, but also operates as a fully-fledged, standalone practice with its own client base.

For many years our environmental team, which forms part of our regulatory practice, is ranked top tier in several legal rankings.

We are currently looking for someone to join our environmental team. We advise clients on all possible environmental matters, such as permits, waste, soil, water, climate and packaging.

We have a strong affinity with the industrial sector.

We also handle various regulatory issues. This includes matters relating to the regulation, at a national or European level, of chemicals, electrical and electronic equipment, deforestation-driven commodities, food, green claims (...)

We primarily provide strategic advice to our clients and assist in negotiations with other stakeholders. Where necessary, we represent our clients in administrative and judicial proceedings before all relevant courts and authorities.

What we offer

Joining our team, you can expect:

An engaging role within a leading independent Belgian law firm.
Inclusion in a team of lawyers that take their work very serious, but not themselves.
A diversified practice with highly interesting and challenging cases across a range of environmental law matters, including high-profile cases of significant public relevance with active involvement and ownership from day one.
You will have the opportunity to work on matters involving multiple stakeholders, including public authorities and other industrial stakeholders.
From the outset, you will have the opportunity to take a front-line role and engage directly with clients.
Extensive growth opportunities through firm-wide and external training initiatives, and within a team that prioritizes collaboration and support.
A multilingual, open and stimulating environment with respect for you as a person and as a lawyer.
An attractive compensation and benefits package.
A team of strong professionals willing to support you any time.
An office located within walking distance from the central station

Has a native level command of Dutch with a very good knowledge of English.
Demonstrates strong expertise and analytical skills in environmental law.
