Are you passionate about protecting public and environmental health? We are seeking a motivated Cadet Environmental Health Officer to join our team. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing the qualifications required to become a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer (EHO).

About the Role:

As a Cadet Environmental Health Officer, you will undertake structured on-the-job training that combines both theoretical learning and practical experience. You will support our Environmental Health team in delivering essential services that safeguard community health and wellbeing.

What you’ll bring:

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Enrolment in or the ability to enrol in an approved course of study required for appointment as an Environmental Health Officer in Tasmania.
Awareness of current public and environmental health legislation, guidelines, Australian Standards, by-laws and codes of practice.
A commitment to quality customer service, including fostering a culture of customer service excellence.
Current Working with Vulnerable People
Drivers Licence
First Aid

Position Hours: Part-time, 33.33 hours week.
