Collinwood is assisting our client, a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered sensing, control, and sealing components, in hiring a Business Development professional focused on the Electrical, Energy Storage, and Energy Transmission industries. Our client's products are used in mission-critical systems across HVAC-R, data center infrastructure, appliances, transportation, industrial equipment, and aerospace.

We are seeking someone to support our client's growth strategy, expand their market presence, and drive revenue by leading complex deals from lead to contract execution. This role is ideal for a professional with a track record in scaling business operations in Electrification & Industrial Systems. It is important to note that this role is specifically focused on electrification, energy storage, and power systems (HVAC, building controls, or data-center experience without relevant electrification, battery, EV charging, or power-electronics experience is not the primary background being sought).

What you will be doing:

You will lead new business growth within the North American electrification, energy storage, and power systems markets, with primary focus on:

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
EV charging infrastructure / EVSE
Power conversion systems (PCS)
Inverters, converters, and power electronics
Battery and energy management systems
Grid modernization and renewable energy systems
Industrial electrification and electrical protection

In this role, you will identify and develop high-value opportunities with OEMs, system integrators, engineering organizations, and technology developers. The role requires engaging customers early in the product-development cycle, identifying applications for our client's technologies, and driving opportunities from initial concept through design win and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop New Business – Identify, qualify, and develop strategic opportunities within energy storage, EV charging, power conversion, and related electrification markets.
Build Strategic Relationships – Establish relationships with engineering, product management, sourcing, and executive stakeholders at targeted OEMs and system integrators.
Drive Design Wins – Engage early in customer development programs to position sensing and protection technologies into next-generation platforms.
Develop the Opportunity Pipeline – Build and advance a strong CRM pipeline of high-value opportunities capable of generating meaningful future production revenue.
Provide Market Intelligence – Monitor technology trends, competitive activity, customer investment, and emerging applications across electrification markets.
Customer Influence - Establish our client as a trusted technical partner by supporting design reviews, application discussions, product evaluations, and customer development programs.
Collaborate Internally – Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Sales to develop customer solutions and accelerate commercialization.
Represent our client – Participate in strategic customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences.

What we need from you:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
7+ years of technical sales, business development, product management, or application engineering experience in electrification technologies, power systems, Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or a related market.
A proven record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
Direct industry experience in one or more of the following:

o Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

o EV charging / EVSE

o Battery systems

o Power conversion systems

o Inverters / converters

o Power electronics

o Grid or renewable energy systems

Proven ability to identify opportunities, influence technical specifications, and secure design wins within complex OEM sales cycles.
Ability to understand technical applications and translate customer requirements into sensing, protection, and reliability solutions.
Travel – this role requires a minimum of 50% North American travel.
