Position Summary:The EHS Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across all distribution centers and fleet operations. This role focuses on driving a strong safety culture through training, audits, learning events, and safe operating procedures (SOPs), while also supporting key operational initiatives. Key Responsibilities:Environmental Health & Safety (EHS):Lead safety training programs, learning events, and the development and maintenance of SOPs across all operational functions.Conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Oversee compliance across DC operations, related to transport fleets and high risk plant & equipmentManage safety improvement and compliance projects, ensuring timely execution and measurable outcomes.Maintain and enhance ISO certification processes and documentation across operational facilities.Track and report safety metrics, leading indicator performance, corrective actions governance, and.Develop and implement a standardized North American EHS governance framework across all DC operations. Drive operational risk reduction strategies aligned with OSHA, DOT, ISO 45001, CSA, and local jurisdictional requirements. Lead annual strategic safety and compliance improvement plans for all distribution centresOversee transport safety governance for slab transport fleets including material handling risk management programsLead serious incident investigations using root cause methodologies. Develop corrective and preventive action programs with measurable closure accountability. Provide executive-level reporting on critical risks and incident trends.Operations Support:Monitor and report on key operations performance indicators (KPIs), including operational risk analysisSupport bonus calculations and related performance-based incentive programs for operations teams.Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency gains.Establish contractor and third-party logistics (3PL) compliance assurance programs. Conduct operational compliance reviews of external transport providers and unloading activities at customer sites. Define minimum contractor safety requirements and operational standards.Travel:Conduct regular visits to distribution centers and operational sites for audits, training, and project support (up to 50% travel required).Compensation: The anticipated total compensation range for this position is between $97,000 and $122,000, which includes a base salary and an incentive bonus opportunity. Base compensation within this range is determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
