About
I am a value-driven development professional with a passion for creating positive change in the areas of environment, agriculture, and health through community building, innovation, and education.
With 6 years of diverse experience, I have been involved in various impactful roles. In my role as a Project Associate at Waste Warriors Society, I implemented sustainable waste management strategies in a tourist-heavy area, recovering 10 metric tonnes of waste from illegal dumping and creating livelihoods for informal waste pickers. During my tenure as a Teaching Fellow at Teach For India, I designed and implemented innovative lesson plans, leading to a significant increase in my students' numeracy levels. I also emphasized inclusivity and parental engagement to ensure equal opportunities and holistic development. As an Educational & Awareness Assistant at Waste Warriors Society, I successfully raised awareness of waste management practices in Himalayan villages, engaging with local businesses, communities, and schools. I also initiated the Waste to an Art project to highlight the waste problem. My education includes an M.A. in Development Studies with a focus on impact evaluation, sustainability, and green economy. I have volunteered in various capacities, including climate literacy, ration distribution during the pandemic, and supporting ultramarathons. Furthermore, I have experience in sales and marketing, and database creation, and have worked as a Residential Support Worker, assisting autistic learners in daily living tasks and promoting their well-being. My skills include project design and management, participatory research, waste management, problem-solving, adaptability, sales and marketing, and personal support and care. I have demonstrated leadership by leading volunteer clean-up drives and research initiatives. Fluent in English and Hindi, I am also learning French to broaden my linguistic abilities and intercultural understanding. My passion for community development, environmental sustainability, and education drives me to make a meaningful impact in the world.
