About
Molly Davis is a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor's in marketing from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She is passionate about using the power and influence of social media to promote and educate communities about reproductive and environmental justice. As a climate justice and reproductive justice organizer, she hopes to continue working with other (youth) leaders to build movements within our communities. Examples of this community organizing include her role as a Peer Educator with AOOOT and one of fifteen young people part of the Advocates for Youth 'Abortion Out Loud' team, a group of college activists working to destigmatize and expand reproductive healthcare on campuses nationwide. Molly has also been President of the Islander Feminists and VP of the Islander Green Team, both student organizations at TAMU-CC. She grew both of these organizations dramatically over four years by focusing on event coordination, education and outreach, social media marketing, and organizational management. For the past four years, Molly has organized a multitude of community events such as RJ/EJ marches and protests, local clean-up efforts, educational events, fundraising and mutual aid initiatives, and more. She hopes to bridge her professional skills and organizing experience throughout her career.
Molly is currently working part-time and is open to part-time/full-time work involving digital organizing and email/social media communications remotely. She has previous professional work experience with the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies under the Community Resilience lab as a student digital marketing coordinator. This work included marketing and communications for the Regional Resilience Partnership (RRP), a new organization within the Texas Coastal Bend working to build the capacity of communities to mitigate disaster risk and build community resilience. Her responsibilities included social media and email marketing, content curation for multiple platforms, contact list management, and assisting in the development of the organization's social media and strategic plans. She managed the weekly RRP newsletter, conducting research weekly to build a resiliency-related email listserv shared with 200+ individuals in the Texas Coastal Bend. Her current position as Outreach Coordinator with Partum Health, a perinatal care provider for pregnant and parenting people, further expands her professional experience in community outreach and professional communications, as well as insight to the birthing justice and maternal health sectors.
