About
I am a Chilean industrial engineer, with over 20 years of experience mainly in business and sustainability management consulting projects.
I have a diverse background and skill set. I have worked both as an employee and as an independent consultant.
I have worked in strategic planning, performance measurement, and developing and implementing decision making information technology solutions to measure, report and verify results more effectively and efficiently (which includes data management).
I am also passionate about sustainable development, both social and environmental. I have worked in poverty alleviation (employment and entrepreneurship projects), developed the first semi-industrial wood dryer and the first solar photovoltaic installation to power small productive activities in extremely remote areas for poor people (in the Lake District, Patagonia in southern Chile). I have also worked helping an indigenous community making wine in the world's driest non-polar desert (Atacama in northern Chile) for almost 4 years.
In the environmental field, I have led sustainability management consulting projects (carbon credits, carbon accounting, ESG reporting, and standards certification). I am passionate about global warming and carbon finance, and I just finished my master's degree in climate change mitigation.
In total, I have successfully managed around 150 consulting projects, and since I have had two experiences as an entrepreneur, I also consider myself strong in B2B consulting sales.
I also love teaching and have experience in higher education in the same subjects I have been consulting in.
I am fluent in English (93% TOEFL) and Spanish, which is my native language.
Finally, on a more personal level, I am a very passionate, analytical, curious, fast learner, committed, honest, autonomous, and supportive of team members.
I believe this diverse background and skill set allows me to successfully tackle any climate change-related position (including data management and dVRM implementation).
