JOB SUMMARY: This position is located within the Agricultural Research Service, Southeast Area, Plant Science Research Unit in Raleigh, NC. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a research program related to improvement of wheat germplasm utilizing diversity available in adapted and exotic gene pools. MAJOR DUTIES: Identify and develop germplasm with improved adaptation and tolerance to factors limiting production in the eastern US, including resistance to abiotic stresses or wheat disease and insect pests.
