The role
We are current looking for a client side Senior Project Manager to be integrated into the client team on a major heritage project in Central London.
You will do
- Review and define benefits for the MEP&F Programme, maintaining a Programme-level benefit register
- Identify, baseline, plan, track and report benefits of the Programme, and projects within the Programme
- Create and maintain benefits management plan to set out how they will be managed, including policies, priorities and key performance indicators
- Engage with the Strategic Estates PMO Benefits Manager to ensure alignment with wider strategic and corporate processes and objectives
- Offer assistance and guidance to Project Leads
- Define benefit measures with Parliamentary stakeholders and implement tools to collate evidence to support baseline measures
- Collate data from existing sources to support measuring of benefits
- Regularly review progress against benefit realisation
- Work closely with Project Leads to identify Benefit Owners
- Keep Benefit Owners updated on progress of benefit realisation
- Facilitate benefit realisation and mapping workshops
- Contribute to Programme and Project-level business cases, ensuring their successful approval with clear demonstration of benefits to be realised
- Prepare benefits summary for Boards as and when required
- Assess benefit realisation and sensitivity analysis in the context of R&R and its shortlisted options
- Act as key liaison with R&R Programme to ensure alignment between the two programmes
- Work collaboratively with R&R Programme to minimise risk of nugatory spend through MEP&F Programme
- Support information exchange between the two programmes, working closely with the Information Manager
You will bring
- Experience in complex project delivery within live operational environments
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project management and/or construction-related discipline, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
- Experience in Programme Benefits Management and working as part of the integrated client team is required
- Knowledge of Construction and Property industries and an understanding of estimating, scheduling, field supervision, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls and reporting.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving planning, estimating, contract administration and procurement issues within construction and design activities.
- Good interpersonal skills to prepare reports, negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience working on public sector projects for a recognised consulting business.
