Support Environmental Controls, Incineration Services, and Solvent Recovery to ensure that products and services are provided in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operations Management: Oversee the operation of large, complex equipment (e.g., wastewater treatment, fume incinerators, distillation columns, bulk tanks, forklifts, yard tractors), ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Manage and document incidents, escalating when necessary.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, develop, train, and manage a team of approximately 10 operators. Foster a positive environment and resolve interpersonal conflicts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with interdepartmental teams and customers to manage business operations and support site and company initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost reduction. Demonstrate critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Communicate effectively across the organization, supporting departmental and company-wide goals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education & Experience: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 10 years of industrial experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills with experience in coaching and mentoring teams. Strong verbal, written communication, and listening abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and DeltaV (or similar automation systems). Knowledge of cGMP operations preferred.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a mechanical aptitude.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in high noise, high-temperature environments, both indoors and outdoors, handling hazardous materials. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, in a regulated setting.
