The Site Assessment and Remediation practice at AKRF delivers value on projects of all scopes and sizes, from individual lots and single-use buildings to large-scale mixed-use developments, corporate and institutional campuses, renewable energy facilities, and infrastructure improvements. We are seeking an environmental scientist/geologist intern to participate in our 2025 summer internship program. This position will be based in our High Bridge, New Jersey office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare deliverables (i.e., tables, figures, report sections, letters) in accordance with company standards
- Prepare written statements (i.e., memos, letters, emails, report sections) and interpret data clearly and concisely
- Field work, shadowing other members of the staff (as applicable)
Essential Requirements:
- An accredited STEM bachelor’s degree program or STEM graduate program
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly
- Dependability and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks
- Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel throughout the tri-state area
Compensation will commensurate with experience.
