We are looking for a HSE Specialist 80% who is team player, good communicator and who has the ability to drive the change to join us in our HSE team, based in our site in Bulle, Switzerland.
About the role
The Environment specialist at UCB Bulle is responsible for developing and implementing Environmental policies and strategies in collaboration with site management to preserve the environment, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and create value for the site and patients. Additionally, they provide strategic and operational support to the HSE Manager, line management, and internal partners to achieve the site's expected performance, with a particular focus on environmental outcomes.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be part of a team of eight colleagues who share a collaborative spirit.
What you’ll do
A part from responsibilities that have been mentioned before:
- Actively support top and senior management in developing and embedding the HS&E mindset within the site.
- Coordinate environmental management programs and activities, ensuring legal compliance, ISO 14001 certification, and progress towards the Net zero targets.
- Support and advise the HSE Manager in defining and developing the Environemental vision, mission, and strategies, and contribute to implementing UCB Bulle's Environmental policy and corporate requirements locally.
- Update the environmental analysis and legal registers to ensure compliance and manage risks and maintain an efficient Environmental management system in line with standards.
- Develop Environmental competencies through communication, training, and audits, support business partners in their Environmental responsibilities.
- Contribute to HS&E daily activities such coaching, investigations, project support and management of emergency situations
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the followingeducation, experienceand skills
- higher degree in Health Safety or Environment Engineering, Engineering or Technical education such a professional HSE accreditation from a recognized institution (e.g., SUVA certificate) with strong experience in environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Environment or HSE role within the chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial production sectors, with specific experience in managing HSE Systems.
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Swiss legislations (EU legislations is a plus) and of Environmental management systems.
- Ability to inspire and instill HS&E mindset.
- Leadership / Assertiveness skills.
