The Environmental Engineer acts as the primary facilitator for all Clark Pacific Environmental programmatic and compliance activities. This role develops, implements, maintains, and guides all Clark Pacific partners regarding company policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards. This role will act on behalf of Clark Pacific and the Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety for Environmental affairs as assigned. A high degree of confidentiality and sound judgement is required of this role.

- Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
- Identify, assess, and provide solutions to resolve compliance opportunities concerning environmental affairs.
- Support environmental compliance and forward-thinking paths regarding air, land, water, EPD’s, and sustainability initiatives throughout all Clark Pacific Verticals.
- Oversee and conduct, as needed, material, soil, and water sampling to facilitate hazard determination and proper waste classification and disposal management.
- Act as a key stakeholder and champion for the development and coordination of the Environmental Management System.
- Prepare regulatory compliance reports for management review and submittal.
- Stay informed of relevant changes in environmental legislation and keep CP Leaders informed as needed.
- Support Environmental, Health & Safety leadership to liaison between Clark Pacific and environmental regulators.
- Analyze researched and gathered data to provide summary reports and recommendations for corporate environmental and sustainability projects, programs, and impact.
- Perform environmental audits, develop corrective actions, and track to closure.
- Develop Waste Management and Recycling Programs.
- Conduct audits and inspections of facilities and operations to ensure compliance.

Skills and Abilitie
- Comprehension of various technical plans and drawings, including but not limited to SWPPPs, SPCC, HMBPs and P&ID’s.
- Ability to read and understand air permit compliance requirements.
- Ability to articulate permit conditions in a usable format to affected stakeholders.
- Ability to review and understand analytical lab reports and communicate this to varying levels of management.
- Facilitate proper collection of air, soil, water, or material samples for Laboratory analysis.
- Ability to use and oversee the correct completion of COCs, sample labels, and other technical forms.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to effectively listen and engage with all levels of the organization.
- Builds strong relationships; engages and motivates teams representing diverse backgrounds and viewpoints; exceptionally collaborative.
- Ability to maintain attentiveness to detail and accuracy throughout involvement in multiple projects without losing sight of goals and deadlines. Excellent organization skills to drive topics with multiple stakeholders/interests.

Physical Demands
- Daily in-person engagement is required.
- Frequent: Sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones, standing and walking, climbing stairs and ladders, walking on uneven terrain.
- Periodic: Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.
- Occasional: Business travel, (up to 30%).

Experience and Education
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in environmental management is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in area of specialization is strongly preferred, however consideration will be given on a year-for-year basis for relevant experience.
- Familiarity with LCA, PCR, and EPD development is preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental regulation agencies is required.
- Environmental credentialling (REM, QEP, CEP, QSD/QISP) is strongly preferred.
