We are seeking a dedicated and driven Safety and Sustainability Development Engineer to join our Rock Drills Business Unit. The position is full-time, permanent and located at Tampere Myllypuro site, Finland.
Your role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of environment, safety, health, and sustainability within our rock drills manufacturing operations. You will work closely with various departments to drive initiatives that enhance our supply chain excellence and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
Your key responsibilities
Develop and implement safety and sustainability programs to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to integrate sustainability practices into our operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, health, and environmental performance.
Provide training and support to employees on safety and sustainability practices.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to safety and sustainability.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in safety, health, and sustainability.
Your profile
Master or Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a safety and sustainability role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in machining operations.
Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong communication (Fluent Finnish and English) and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
