Master Thesis Student (m/f/d) Sustainability assessment of 3D prototypes

Ready to shape the future of fashion? We are looking for a dedicated Master's student (m/f/d) starting January/February 2024.
Your task is to develop innovative solutions to measure the impact of 3D prototypes compared to physical prototypes. In the Digital Creation team, you will design a tool for calculating and analysing the sustainability impact of 3D prototypes for different product groups. You will define comparison criteria and analyse the impact of physical prototypes in order to compare them with 3D prototypes. You will use relevant values such as CO2 emissions, water consumption and metres of material.
Please note that this thesis collaboration is solely focused on your collaboration within the scope of your Master's thesis. There is no obligation for a working student position.
What you can expect:
- Development and implementation of a tool to measure resource conservation through 3D prototypes
- Analysing and comparing the sustainability impact of physical and 3D prototypes
- Professional preparation of the results and planning of further test runs
- Participation in project-related coordination meetings and involvement in project planning
- Independent research into analysis methodologies and sustainability requirements

Your profile:
- Degree preferably in the field of data analytics or sustainability management
- Knowledge of clothing or textile technology is an advantage
- Ability to create and analyse data models with an understanding of sustainability
- Interest in data analysis and statistics
- Knowledge of 3D software solutions and statistics programmes is an advantage
- Enjoy scientific and conceptual work
- Strong communication and social skills
- Written and spoken German and English at B2 level

There is no obligation for a working student position, allowing you to work on your Master's thesis independently of other commitments. Upon successful completion and submission of your Master's degree, a bonus will be awarded.
