This Opportunity
WSP is currently searching for an Environmental Engineer with our New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
• To support project work of environmental engineers and other environmental professionals on New York City area infrastructure and site remediation projects
• Office activities including engineering evaluations, cost evaluations, design support, preparation of bid documents and technical reports, submittal reviews, etc.
• Field activities including data collection, evaluation and documentation.
• Construction oversight of subcontractors, as needed.
• Workload is expected to be 50% in the office and 50% in the field depending on current assignments and workload.
• Candidate is expected to work overtime hours in excess of 8 hours/day, 40 hours / week on an as needed basis
• Strong work ethic and high degree of flexibility to adjust to changing work priorities.
Required Qualifications:
• BS in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 3+ yrs relevant work experience
• Experience in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically ready to wear a tight-fitting respirator
Preferred Qualifications:
• MS in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Engineer-In-Training certification
