Welcoming you to the team
The G&T HSSER Department consists of 7 highly competent and diverse members. Our team enable the BG in its ability to plan and execute HSSER at G&T level with the right level of “Health, Security, Safety, Environment and Risk”. The workplace is in Oslo or Paris and you will be VP HSSER G&T.
Getting a flying start
To succeed in the team you have extensive experience in one or more competence areas within the HSSER sow. You also have experience from project driven companies in the marine and/or land-based renewables industry. You also have experience working internationally and you know how to communicate at the right level to make an impact across functions, geography and market space. Passion for HSSER is the major key to succeeding in this role. You must be comfortable in being seen as a thought leader in HSSER internally and externally.
How you make an impact
You will work in the BG team as responsible for the ‘Environmental’ and ‘Sustainability’-related activities. This means having the overarching responsibility for E&S -strategy and development, management system, sustainability, compliance, reporting and incidents. The primary objectives for the Environmental Manager is to cascade the overarching Business Group level philosophy, practical application and improvements -activities as well as being the ultimate decision maker on any environmental and sustainability topic.
Your starting point
- University degree MSc, MBA, BSc or similar, preferably in engineering- or HSSER discipline (relevant experience can compensate).
- 10 years of HSSER experience from marine and/or land-based industry.
- Experience as HSSER leader or manager in international organization.
- Thought leader on environmental and sustainability topics
- Fluent in Norwegian (preferred) and in English, written and oral.
- Excellent interpersonal, team player and communication skills.
- You strongly align and identify with Nexans' values.
