Reporting to the Director, Project Management, the Chief Project Manager, (Safety, Health and Environment) (“SHE”) will be responsible for leading the safety, health and environmental management strategy for construction projects across the West Kowloon Cultural District.
You will be responsible for:
leading the development and implementation of a strategy plan to ensure compliance and improve SHE programs;
establishing an integrated SHE management system from strategy formulation, development, project control and delivery;
leading the safety, health and environmental inspection onsite with Independent Consultants, Resident Site Staff (“RSS”) and Contractors and monitoring all Consultancies, Contractors and Sub-contractors with reference to SHE issues;
reviewing the SHE plans and submissions for all infrastructure, engineering and building projects as well as the implementation of all such plans and submissions on site during the construction period;
strengthening the participation of SHE management during the construction stages of projects;
liaising with government departments and public companies in relation to all aspects of SHE initiatives;
consolidating the environmental submission reports and monitoring results for all projects; and
performing any other duties as reasonably direct by the Authority.
You should:
possess a recognised university degree in Occupation Safety and Health or related disciplines;
have a Registered Safety Officer/Safety Auditor with Hong Kong Labour Department and/or Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health is an advantage;
have at least 12 years of post-qualification experience with proven track records in safety, health and environmental aspects of major infrastructure and building projects;
have hands-on and practical with good organizational, communication and presentation skills;
possess in-depth knowledge of safety, health and environmental related regulations and best practices in the industries especially in implementation of Smart Site Safety System (“4S”); and
be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
