Role Summary:
The function of the HSE Executive of the company is to facilitate the HSE activities across the site in a manner to develop right behaviors and skills to implement and continuously improve the standards of Health, Safety and Environment management at Jamjoom Pharma. HSE Executive to assess the risks arising from site operation and peoples' behaviors and take corrective steps to ensure healthy and accident free environment in a sustainable manner.
Responsibilities:
- Assist employees to carry out the HSE risk assessments to ensure that all the routine and non-routine activities are assessed for HSE risks and appropriate precautionary measures are implemented.
- Investigates accidents and near misses to ascertain cause and need for corrective action; develops and implements measures and strategies to prevent their recurrence in order to meet long-range loss-reduction goals; advises departments as to the keeping of rec.
- Be aware of the latest regulatory legislation and requirements and ensure compliance at the site .
- Conduct regular safety and fire drills.
- Manage the inspections and audits from government and regulatory agencies.
- Support the activities with regards to HSE management system in line with ISO 45001 and 14001 requirements.
- Carry out the inspections and safety visits to the operational and project activities.
- Improve safe working environment by demonstrating and supporting company’s value using leading edge practices.
- Coordinate with other units to ensure build-up of teamwork.
- Ensure Operational Excellence culture is promoted, and OE tools are understood and regularly practices on shop floor.
- Carry out training and improve skills of staff for HSE related activities.
- Assist and coordinate for designing procedures, and safe systems of work for internal reporting of compliance with safety procedures as well as program violations, curative steps, accidents, and injuries. He/ She also maintains Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and other HSE related forms.
- Conducts regular safety audits / inspection of facilities, worksites, equipment, and work practices.
- Ensure that a cordial relationship focusing on Compliance, safety and Productivity is maintained with the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering ( Industrial , Chemical ,Mechanical or any relevant field ) .
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Nebosh / Osha certification .
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including diplomacy to negotiate conflicting priorities.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office.
