We are looking for an ''Officer - Vendor Compliance & Sustainability'' for our company in Cairo, Egypt.
Key Qualifications;
- 6+ years of experience in compliance.
- Professional certification in auditing (e.g., Lead Auditor certification in social compliance) may be preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws, environmental regulations, and ethical sourcing standards (e.g., Sedex, BW, WRAP) is necessary.
Responsibilities;
- Perform on-site and remote audits of facilities to assess adherence to social compliance standards, including labor practices, health and safety, and environmental regulations.
- Utilize established auditing methodologies to evaluate compliance against industry standards, customer standards and organizational policies.
- Document audit findings, compiling comprehensive reports that highlight compliance levels, areas of risk, and actionable recommendations.
- Present audit results to management and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in findings.
- Track and analyze social compliance performance metrics over time, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Work with suppliers, management, and other stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans for non-compliance issues.
- Foster collaborative relationships with suppliers to promote awareness and adherence to compliance standards.
- Provide training and resources to suppliers and internal teams on social compliance expectations and best practices.
- Support initiatives that promote continuous improvement in social compliance areas.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, best practices, and industry trends related to social compliance and ethical sourcing.
- Conduct research and analysis on potential risks within the supply chain and recommend mitigation strategies.
