DescriptionThe Environmental Training Manager is responsible for managing the Sales and Service Training Center(s). You'll be preparing and facilitating training courses, both live and on- line and/or other non-traditional delivery methods, such as video conferencing and webinars, including ensuring proper and consistent procedures are taught to maintain an effective workforce, and evaluating training instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs. Travel is required, and direct leadership of a staff of trainers and coordinators to consistently produce effective regulatory and DOT training.

Responsibilities- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Evaluate training instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Effectively manage a full training facility with direct oversight of all training center operations.
- Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for staff members.
- Develop pro-active and responsive solutions to business needs for continuous improvement in individual, team, business unit and organizational performance.
- Facilitate training courses both live and on-line and/or other non-traditional delivery methods such as video conferencing and webinars.
- Develop and organize training materials, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
- Identify training competencies at the job code level and ensure requirements are tracked in the enterprise system.
- Nurture and maintain working relationships with field personnel and senior management to ensure the smooth conveyance of training programs.
- Ensure all existing training and development programs and content are up to date including changes to policies, procedures and regulations.
- Ensure proper and consistent procedures are being taught to maintain an effective workforce.
- May assist with the implementation and roll out of new company business systems, business processes, or devices, including supporting employees needing help understanding new business systems, applications, computer devices or equipment. .
- Provide guidance and support to direct report personnel to develop their skills and qualifications to maximize the benefit for the employee, company, and department.
- Conduct periodic employee performance assessments and company required performance appraisals.
Qualifications- Bachelors Degree in related field OR
- 3+ years of experience in related field OR combination of relevant experience
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building
- Detail oriented and able to hold constructive meetings
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-starter and results oriented
- Research skills, analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Commitment to quality, responsibility and high work standards
- Must be proficient in the use of the internet;
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite;
- Must have experience in the area of training discipline;
- Must have management experience and developing direct reports
- Computer competence and the ability to use media effectively
- Ability to travel up to 50%
