Position Overview
As an Onshore Sales Representative for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in the wind energy industry, your primary focus will be on negotiating and securing both turbine supply agreements for greenfield and repower/overhaul projects, and service program agreement for wind turbine maintenance and repair. You will be accountable for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers and effectively communicating the value proposition of Siemens Gamesa's offerings.
Relocation will not be offered for this role.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers in the wind energy sector who are developing greenfield projects, contemplating repowers or overhauls for their aging operating assets, and/or have Siemens Gamesa wind turbines in their fleet.
Coordinate with key decision-makers and stakeholders within customer organizations to recognize their requirements, key development timelines, and budgetary considerations.
Conduct thorough assessments of customer needs and align them with Siemens Gamesa's portfolio of offerings ensuring a tailored approach that addresses specific requirements, maximizes customer satisfaction, and delivers in accordance with business targets.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that highlight the value and benefits of Siemens Gamesa's offerings, including IRA related tax incentives, turbine quality and performance, and leverage SGRE’s OEM-specific expertise for long term service and maintenance programs.
Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial alliances that meet both parties' objectives.
Coordinate closely with internal business partners, including projects, operations, legal, finance, and engineering, to ensure seamless contract negotiation, execution, and implementation processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contract negotiations, customer interactions, and sales activities in Salesforce CRM system.
Secure internal approvals, including using the Salesforce tools.
Maintain market knowledge on the latest developments in wind turbine technology, service offerings, and industry regulations to effectively position Siemens Gamesa's service contracts.
Manages customer complaints as point of escalation, if necessary.
Take ownership and accountability for delivering sales targets.
Required Knowledge/ Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of five years of experience in business-to-business sales, with a proven record of successfully negotiating and securing contracts.
Wind industry experience.
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with customers.
Strong comprehe of contract terms, conditions, and legal implications.
Exceptional communication and networking ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
Results-oriented mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM software or similar tools.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers and attend industry events.

Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver’s license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic DMV checks of their license.
