The *Planning Manager* for solar projects is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely execution of solar energy projects. ### *Key Responsibilities:*
#### *1. Project Planning & Scheduling:*
- Develop and manage the *master schedule* for solar projects using tools like *Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software*.
- Break down project timelines into *work breakdown structures (WBS)* and set realistic milestones.
- Identify *critical path activities* and ensure timely execution to avoid delays.
- Forecast *resource allocation, manpower planning, and material procurement schedules*.
#### *2. Coordination & Communication:*
- Work closely with the *engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams* to align project schedules.
- Coordinate with *government authorities, consultants, vendors, and contractors* to ensure all necessary approvals and resources are available.
- Provide *regular progress updates* to management and clients through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Address *bottlenecks and risks proactively* to avoid project delays.
#### *3. Cost & Risk Management:*
- Track project budgets and *cost estimations* to ensure financial feasibility.
- Identify *potential risks* related to time, cost, and resources and develop *mitigation strategies*.
- Ensure procurement and logistics align with project timelines and avoid delays due to supply chain disruptions.
#### *4. Compliance & Documentation:*
- Ensure adherence to *contractual agreements, government regulations, and environmental guidelines* for solar projects.
- Maintain detailed *project documentation, approvals, and compliance records*.
- Assist in *obtaining permits and clearances* required for land acquisition, transmission connectivity, and project execution.
#### *5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:*
- Develop *KPIs for tracking project progress, efficiency, and cost control*.
- Prepare *weekly/monthly reports* for senior management and project stakeholders.
- Implement *continuous improvement measures* to enhance project execution efficiency.

### *Required Qualifications & Skills:*
✅ *Education:*
- Bachelor’s degree in *Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy)* or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in *Project Management or MBA (Preferred)*.
✅ *Experience:*
- *8-12 years* of experience in *project planning & scheduling* in solar or renewable energy projects.
- Strong expertise in *solar EPC projects, land acquisition, permitting, and grid connectivity processes*.
✅ *Technical Skills:*
- Proficiency in *Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent planning software*.
- Strong understanding of *solar PV plant construction, transmission infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks*.
- Knowledge of *contract management, costing, and financial analysis*.
