Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead and participate in the engineering and design of HVAC and plumbing
systems across a variety of facility types. Key responsibilities include:
● Overseeing design and construction activities, utilizing project delivery methods such as
traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build.
● Designing HVAC and plumbing systems primarily for HyperScale and Colocation Data
Centers, including administrative and support spaces.
● Supporting additional facility areas like Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance,
Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low
& Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generators, Blowers/Air
Compressors, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage.
● Conducting airflow CFD modeling for Data Center interior and exterior spaces.
● Performing energy audits and efficiency studies, conducting code reviews, and applying
sustainable design strategies, including LEED certification processes.
● Developing engineering skills while tackling complex projects.
Required Qualifications:
● HVAC design experience, specifically in Data Centers.
● Experience with CFD modeling.
● Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
● Professional Engineer (PE) License.
● AP certified with experience in obtaining LEED certification for industrial buildings.
Skills:
Knowledge in the following areas is essential:
● NFPA standards.
● Computer-generated HVAC cooling/heating loads and equipment sizing.
● HVAC system energy modeling for compliance with energy codes.
● Green building initiatives (LEED, Green Globes).
● Technical submittal and bid review processes.
● Large-scale water and air-cooled chiller plant design.
● Familiarity with ICC Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks,
and SMACNA Standards.
● Data Center airflow CFD modeling for internal and external evaluations.
● Cadence Reality Data Center Design (formerly 6Sigma Room).
Certifications:
● Professional Engineer (PE) License.
● AP certified, with experience in LEED certification for industrial buildings.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in the home country or where the
professional is practicing. Successful applicants will need to complete pre-employment
onboarding, which may include a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle records
search, as required by applicable laws.
