We are currently looking for a Distribution Manager to work out of our office in Sacramento, California, or remotely from a home office on the West Coast.
Salary range: $95,000 to $125,000 per year
What you’ll do:- Provide excellence in the management and delivery of logistics for the projects.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees
- Collaborate with the Procurement team and Project Manager(s) to schedule and coordinate arrival times of material deliveries from various subcontractors and vendors.
- Create inventory reconciliation reports, including delivery, in-transit inventory, etc. Report inventory discrepancies and manage document reconciliation.
- Track logistic shipments from various locations and provide status reports.
- Collaborate with project Superintendent to ensure appropriate staffing for daily material management activities with employees.
- Ensure site prep work is complete in areas to support logistics and material deliveries.
- Direct and guide material handling craft to ensure activities on site are understood and following established processes through quantity and quality checks.
- Communicate with material vendors and subcontractors daily to ensure scheduled deliveries are on track.
- Identify potential schedule changes, workflow, and staffing issues due to weather, delivery delays, and other circumstantial changes.
- Maintain material delivery schedule and identify upcoming issues. Solve any logistics and delivery problems or on-site issues that may arise.
- Work directly with Port authorities and trucking companies to find solutions when required.
- Responsible for scheduling maintenance of on-site equipment and machinery.
- Review all logistics invoices for accuracy.
- Develop and follow processes for systems and communication lines on site and ensure implementation is consistent.
- Manage onsite logistics personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring:- Bachelor’s degree in business management or related programs
- 6+ years of logistics management experience in construction, renewable energy industry preferred.
- Intimate knowledge of construction activities, production rates, equipment selection, building types and construction methods.
- Must have the ability to prepare complex procedures with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated organization and analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and analyze problems and drive appropriate solutions.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in an organized and accurate manner.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Must have a good driving record and maintain a valid Driver’s License
