Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist ensures compliant and empathetic messaging to the leaders and team members of the Company. They provide on-site, frontline HR support guidance to all departments. This position is responsible for ensuring policies, and onboarding are all maintained with the highest standard. The HR Generalist is an ethical support partner to the HR team, plant leadership, and team members.
Required Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

3 years previous experience in an HR role

Basic Comprehension of FMLA, USCIS, FLSA, ADA
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of principles and procedures for human resources including Human Resource Information Systems, recruitment, selection, training, benefits, and compensation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including maintaining current and accurate job descriptions, and facilitating on-site interviews.
- Effectively work with hiring managers to ensure the highest level of onboarding
- Liaise between management and team members to resolve concerns while fostering a positive work environment
- Work with HRBP to develop engagement and retention activities that support the business unit
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve employee morale, reduce turnover and improve absenteeism
- Accurate maintenance of HR systems and employee files, including personnel data
- Ensure completion of annual compliance trainings, reviews and goals, and open enrollment; coordinate on-site training sessions
- Create a diverse and inclusive work environment that is safe for all team members
- Communicate and enforce all protocols outlined by the Company and state and federal governments
- Administers internal job bidding process for hourly union positions
