Job Title: Spare Parts/MRO Control Specialist
Job Purpose:
To manage, control, and maintain an organized and efficient inventory of spare parts and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items, ensuring accuracy and effective communication between departments to support smooth operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee and control incoming spare parts and MRO items using SAP, WMS, and Excel systems.
- Manage the PMC spare parts room, including spare parts, MRO items, and non-scannable raw materials.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with other departments regarding materials received, in transit, or pending orders.
- Work closely with the PMC Spare Parts Clerk to ensure package accuracy and inventory consistency.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and send weekly reports to HQ, including:
- Spare parts inventory report.
- PPE inventory report.
- Open PR/PO report.
- Purchasing and Approvals:
- Approve Order Acknowledgments (OAs) related to the purchase or replacement of spare parts/MRO materials.
- Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) based on approved OA requests.
- System Management:
- Receive Purchase Orders in SAP and WMS.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in SAP, WMS, and Excel for inventory management and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to interact with multiple departments.
- Ability to prepare accurate and timely reports for senior management.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in inventory control and purchasing.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in spare parts or MRO inventory management.
- Experience with SAP and WMS systems is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally for inventory tasks.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or inventory room environment.
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking when organizing and auditing inventory.
