Expected Length of Internship:
- 3 to 6 months
- As an internship company, we allow flexibility to enroll in classes while working as an intern, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the essential functions of the position.
Education/Experience:
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s in business administration and/or Human Resources
- First Solar encourages all interns to register their internship with their university.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Strong communication skills with a sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients across First Solar locations
- Strong analytical skills to analyze vast quantities of data to generate monthly reports within HR operations, Global Mobility and Immigration processes
- Competency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and presentation preparation, with a willingness to learn and utilize specific HRIS software and tools.
Basic Internship Scope (Project):
- Intern will work with Sr. Program Manager to manage assignments, immigration, and relocations to Americas and APAC region.
- Help draft assignment and related support documents for mobility services
- When requested and required, collaborate with internal teams such as Local Payroll, Local HR partner to gather data and create reports to ensure accurate payroll and/or Compliance reporting
- Collaborate with Sr. Manager and Immigration firm to facilitate the procurement and maintenance of work visas
- Provide support in advising employees on policy and processes as needed
- Support the team in daily duties and special projects as needed.
- Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.
