Summary: The Workforce Development Coordinator is a member of a team of organizational development professionals supporting a mission-driven organization. This person will have a passion for learning and continuous improvement, and a customer-first mindset. Work Environment: This position is primarily based in our office at the Saint Louis Zoo. There will be times when the team will travel to other local campuses to facilitate learning programs. There is opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for occasional remote work based on project needs, customer needs and team agreements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program coordination: Assist in the planning, scheduling and logistics of online and in-person training programs, workshops and seminars. Travel to other campuses to help execute learning programs. Travel to local restaurants to pick up food and other items. Work with vendor partners on logistics for training programs.
Communication: Promote learning opportunities across the organization, encouraging participation and engagement.
Evaluation: Gather feedback on effectiveness of learning programs through surveys and performance metrics; recommend improvements based on findings.
Reporting: Help the organization stay on track with compliance training, using data from the learning management system.
Community event planning and coordination: Work with internal community partners on our various employee recognition and celebration events.
Office inventory and maintenance: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of training materials, snacks and drinks. Collaborate with support teams on maintenance needs of the Employee Learning Center.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Work in alignment with the Zoo’s C-COIL Values and Three Keys.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping others learn and grow. Willingness to learn how to use a learning management system, as well as online collaboration tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with learning management systems, online learning platforms, Adobe suite, and other related software is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
- This role’s responsibilities will include driving the company vehicle on occasion. Must have a valid driver’s license.
