Recycling Services of Florida is a third-generation family owned and operated company with locations across the state.

The Plant Lead will ensure industry best practices and operational safety while providing leadership to operations associates and results driven initiatives. This is a full-time position role that will report directly to the company's General Manager.

Job Duties

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty assigned satisfactorily.
Oversee all daily operations of the plant to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
Collaborates in developing and executing safety goals appropriately.
Inspects recycling facilities to ensure the premises meet safety, quality, and service standards.
Manage daily production and monitors inbound and outbound materials. Coordinates with dispatch shipments of recyclable materials to processing companies or recyclable shipping brokers.
Completes paperwork and records regarding materials received and processed
Perform routine safety checks on all equipment and machinery.
Handles performance reviews and performance management discussions with each employee on the team.
Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans for the Recycling Facility.
Oversees all activity in the production plant and continues to develop ways of improving productivity while keeping overhead inline.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Is responsible for overseeing a team of production line workers, ensuring that daily production goals are met and that end of line products are of high quality. The right candidate will be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate clearly with the General Manager on a daily basis. This position will provide daily guidance to line workers and train new line workers as needed.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to train and motivate others.
Thorough understanding of recycling processes and policies.
Thorough understanding of waste management programs.
3+ years experience in supervisory and leadership role.
2-5 years equipment operator experience; bobcat, forklift, front-end wheel loader.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally
Reliable transportation
Ability to read and speak English
Willing and able to stand and walk for duration of the workday including climbing multiple staircases.
