The Corporate Reporting Assistant at NEXT will support the Sustainability reporting team in preparing and managing Sustainability and non-financial reports. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within the finance team at NEXT, providing exposure to both financial reporting and sustainability initiatives.
About the Team
The Sustainability Team is a NEXT Group function that covers all aspects of Environmental Sustainability. We work across NEXT own brand, Licensed, 3rd Party brands, Wholly-Owned Brands (Such as Lipsy, Love & Roses), as well as working closely to support our Total Platform Partners (Joules, Reiss, Lipsy).
About the Role
- Support Manager across multiple Corporate Reporting Obligations including the Annual Report, Corporate Responsibility report, CSRD, TCFD and Carbon reporting across scopes 1,2 and 3
- Support Total Platform partners with a focus on Reiss; provide in-person (and remote) support such as developing methodologies, managing data collection and project managing year end processes
- Support Reiss to feedback internally on potential improvements and support on carbon reduction roadmap (Eg using ESOS and Year end carbon data)
- Support across all internal NEXT teams and Reiss to improve and evolve carbon reporting methodologies as required; identifying efficiencies and improvements to reporting processes.
- Support the development of sustainability and corporate responsibility reports, aligning with CSRD standards.
- Support on development of a Transition Plan throughout 2025 to meet CSRD obligations
- Ensure all reports comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Conduct preliminary checks on data accuracy and consistency before final submission.
- Perform administrative tasks such as project managing and handling correspondence related to corporate reporting.
- Assist in coordinating meetings and communications between departments to facilitate report preparation.
- Respond to enquiries from internal stakeholders regarding data and reporting processes
- Lead training on relevant aspects of carbon reporting for internal teams as required
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure comprehensive data collection for reporting purposes.
About you
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Sustainability reporting standards and best practice is key (Such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB).
