About the Opportunity:
A leading renewable energy firm is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee multiple solar projects across various sites. This hands-on, on-site role involves managing all construction phases, ensuring projects stay on track, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards. You will lead site teams, handle project logistics, and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Manage construction sites and supervise site superintendents.
Ensure safety compliance and conduct daily safety briefings.
Track project progress, update schedules, and manage milestones.
Review and approve drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
Lead weekly meetings with teams and subcontractors.
Perform quality inspections and enforce QA/QC standards.
Oversee material procurement, deliveries, and installations.
Handle project closeout and ensure all documentation is in order.
Must-Have Skills:
5-10 years in construction management, ideally in solar PV projects.
Proficient in Procore, MS Word, Excel, and Smartsheets.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage remote teams and adapt to site conditions.
Experience managing subcontractors and resolving construction issues.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Familiarity with solar-specific QA/QC processes.
Prior experience in renewable energy projects.
Ability to present updates to senior leadership.
