What You Can Expect
The goal of the section is to explain everyday activities of someone who works in this role. Convey the day-to-day impact and responsibilities of this is a highly motivated, creative, and results-oriented Senior Attorney of our Distributed Solar + Storage (DSS) team you will work with a broad range of responsibilities to support and facilitate a rapidly growing business. In this role, you’ll provide legal support across all aspects of the business unit, including origination, merger & acquisition, negotiations, contracts, titles, construction, and financing. Your key responsibilities will include:
- You will be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive legal strategies to facilitate DSS’s commercial objectives while mitigating legal risks
- You must handle the drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements to support the development team’s activities
- You must be able to proactively identify and resolving legal issues and areas of risk
- You will oversee title work, resolve title issues, and manage the issuance of title insurance
- You will review and negotiate finance agreements, including tax-equity finance and debt, and supporting activities related to financial closings
What You’ll Bring

Must have a minimum Bachelor Degree, JD from an ABA-accredited law school, licensed to practice law in a US jurisdiction and in good standing, with experience in drafting and commercial skills, technical and legal risk awareness, innovative deals and structuring, and transaction and project management skills
- Must have interpersonal relationship skills, a commitment to professional and ethical standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
- Ability to flexibly adapt to changing priorities and demanding deadlines with minimal frustration, and to timely support multiple complex assignments with superior legal work products and/or practical legal advice
- Demonstrate commercial understanding, good judgment on legal risk decisions, and know when to escalate issues
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, and familiarity with a range of structured finance transactions, including real estate, permitting, construction, and M&A
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working in the office at least 3 days a week
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- This position consist of 5% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
Compensation
Salary Range: $166,900 – $250,000 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
