An opportunity has arisen for a Battery Assembly Technician to join the Banbury Battery Build department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the role
This is a key role working within a brand-new battery assembly line producing battery systems for industrial applications. Following production processes and work instructions to produce battery systems to a very high standard of detail and quality.
Following training there will be fantastic opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of production processes as well as progressing within the team.
Initially the role will be on a single day shift with the potential to move to 2 shifts in early 2025.
What you will do
- Liaise with the Lead Technician to ensure that products are delivered to the agreed schedule.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the department as required.
- Ensure that all relevant build documentation is accurate and complete.
- Ensure that strict adherence to quality standards is maintained.
- Promote all Health, Safety and Environmental guidance and regulations within the department.
- Aid the continual improvement of build process, build work instructions and test instructions.
- Log and report faults and issues found during build and feed back into QMS.
- Ensure that acceptable cleanliness standards are maintained in the working area.
- Support other Fortescue ZERO programmes as required by the business.
- Support the business in any reasonable way as required.
About you
- Manufacturing background in an assembly environment preferred but not essential.
- Desirable but not essential. Experience in a battery manufacturing environment working with High Voltage products.
- Basic PC skills.
- Quick learning and a good level of dexterity.
- Able to follow clear and concise instructions and work processes.
- Ability to use your initiative and respond quickly to problems.
- Flexible working approach.
- Good communication skills.
