MAJOR DUTIES: This position is located in the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Office of the Assistant Administrator (OAA), with two remote vacancies. As a Fishery Policy Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Serve as an independent analyst to coordinate legislative, regulatory, and policy issues relevant to energy and infrastructure in the marine environment. Analyze laws, regulations, and policies that may impact National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) mission while developing policy responses, briefing documents, view letters, technical drafting assistance and make recommendations for action, and other materials related to management. Support internal and external policy forums, workshops, and meetings including agenda development, meeting planning and logistics, and drafting of briefing documents and white papers. Communicate and collaborate with staff across NOAA Fisheries and Line Offices on scientific policy issues and documents relevant to the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) mandates.
