JOB SUMMARY: This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) with one (1) vacancy that is remote. MAJOR DUTIES: As an Acquisition Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Serve as the Program Manager for Strategic Acquisition Programs for National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), the subject matter expert in large contracts, and a business adviser to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries Offices to assess needs and develop appropriate vehicle to service NOAA Fisheries. Serve as the Primary Liaison for the Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO) Strategic Sourcing, Western and Eastern Acquisition Divisions to monitor and resolve procurement issues that may arise. Draft corrective action plans describing required actions and results based on analysis of data and audits. Serve as the primary resource in policy for acquisitions for NOAA Fisheries. Make or assist with oral and written briefings to NMFS officials, managers, and others discussing current acquisition related work results, impacts, and recommended solutions.
