JOB SUMMARY: This position is a Park Ranger, GS-0025-7 working in Sanibel, Florida for the R4-J N Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The full performance level of this position is GS-9. The Salary listed is for 2024. It is anticipated to change for 2025. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Park Ranger your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide suggestions or research new topics, revisions, and other changes or improvements to interpretive programs. Present on- and off-site environmental education programs. Assist in the management of schedules related to conferences, meetings, group visits and planning special events which support environmental outreach and marketing activities both on and off-site. Conduct independent classroom learning activities, including but not limited to lectures, activities and exercises, audio-visual media, technology, field trips and exchanges, group discussions or other appropriate measures to stimulate attention and interest in natural resource conservation.
