JOB SUMMARY: This position is in Region 8, Superfund and Emergency Management Division, Superfund Planning and Analysis Branch, Strategic Planning Section. About Region 8. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for records, information, and data management and provide administrative and technical oversight of the integration of in-depth data science knowledge into data analytics and visualization tools that will be utilized to support the program in decision-making, tracking, and reporting. Analyze current and future programmatic trends, changes, and relationships, and recommend actions, when necessary, to ensure program goals, targets, and accomplishments are met. Lead and develop pilots and prototypes to address mission data needs. Serve as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical training to junior staff. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
