JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor and Saratoga National Historical Park. Open to the first 101 applicants or until 12/18/2024 whichever comes first. MAJOR DUTIES: Duties included but not limited to: Develop a variety of outdoor recreation and conservation plans and projects for agencies, green spaces, trails, pathways, and waterways (rivers, lakes, canals, etc.) that address community needs, ensure equitable access, and improve climate resiliency. Develop a work plan for collaborative projects including clarifying visions and roles, defining goals and tasks setting deadlines, monitoring progress, and implementing plans to produce outcomes. Organize and facilitate collaborative trail projects, signage strategies and signs, developing site plans for trails, community pathways, and multi-use access and related facilities and infrastructure at a variety of scales. Conduct fieldwork to map, analyze resources, document existing landscape features and associated facilities to be used in design planning and implementation for outdoor recreation and conservation projects. Build and maintain strong working relationships with public agencies, nonprofit and community organizations and other community interests.
