MAJOR DUTIES: This position operates in the Division of Visitor and Resource Protection (V&RP), providing budget, and administrative technical support to the Chief Park Ranger, V&RP Staff, and the Park Administrative Officer. Performs planning, analysis, programming, tracking, and projecting of V&RP budget, personnel costs, and project-based accounts, such as Federal Land Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA) and Concession Franchise Fee programs. Provides technical guidance and support for travel preparation and reconciliation, payroll, and credit card expenditures and reconciliation. Tracks and facilitates financial systems associated with all-hazard expenditures and personnel including administratively determined hires and major search and rescue accounts. Provides guidance and assistance to the park leadership team, divisional program managers, and program assistants. Uses computerized programs such as Administrative Financial System (AFS4), Financial and Business Management System (FBMS), Project Management Information System (PMIS), Concur, and Quicktime. This is a GS-07/09 career ladder opportunity. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level of GS-09. Physical Demands: The work is mostly sedentary.
