Salary: $59,966 (Step 01) to $77,955 (Step 10); NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01. Open to current or former Federal employees: USGS-RES-24-12621240-ST-AW MAJOR DUTIES: As an employee of Administrative Services within the USGS National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC), the employee plans and coordinates a variety of work that supports the Center's. The NGTOC has two primary locations, one in Denver, Colorado and one in Rolla Missouri. The majority of the duties performed by the incumbent are in support of the activities at the NGTOC in Rolla with major component of duties associated with both Rolla and Denver locations. Responsibilities include coordination of warehouse, fleet, property, logistics and minor safety and environmental functions. The position supports other Bureau cost centers including the Central Mid-West Water Science Center, PUBS, BLM, and CEGIS. In the absence of the Facilities Operations Specialist, the employee will have responsibility for critical facility security access, lease representation, facility repair request, Collateral Duty Safety Program Coordinator (CDSPC) responsibilities and Collateral Duty Environmental Program Coordinator (CDEPC) responsibilities. As a Management Services Specialist within the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC), some of your specific duties will include: Manages the organizations warehouse for the Rolla, MO and Denver, CO facilities. Serves as the alternate registrar and activator for the USAccess Credentialing Center located at the Rolla Federal Center. Assists the Facilities Operations Specialist with various Bureau and DOI property functions including property acquisition, accountability and responsibility, donation (I.e., Stevenson-Wydler Technology Innovation Act of 1980), disposal, reports of survey, certificates of unserviceable property and transfers. Serves as the alternate Collateral Duty Safety Program Coordinator (CDSPC) and Collateral Duty Environmental Protection Coordinator (CDEPC). Establishes, updates, and maintains office records of various types. Purges and disposes of office records/files in accordance with regulations and procedures. Maintains a file plan in accordance with regulations. Serves as an organizations Receiving Officer Property Clerk (ROPC) and fleet manager. Property functions include property acquisition, accountability, donation, disposal, reports of survey, certificates of unserviceable property and transfers. Serves as the alternate Collateral Duty Safety Program Coordinator (CDSPC) and Collateral Duty Environmental Protection Coordinator (CDEPC). Physical Demands: Work involves considerable walking, pushing, or pulling of delivery carts, unloading of delivery vehicles with approved equipment handling materials, and lifting packages weighing no more than 20 pounds. Work Environment: Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, such as working in proximity to material handling equipment.
