Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an Indirect Procurement Senior Buyer for Logistics located in our North American Supply Chain headquarters at the Nashville Hub in Franklin, TN.

Schneider Electric’s Indirect Procurement team tackles fundamental business issues such as controlling costs, managing risk and improving service - every day. Indirect Purchasing (non-production) expenditures account for nearly one quarter of total company revenue, of which Logistics is the top spend and criticality. Our Schneider Electric Indirect Procurement Logistics team currently procures and manages over $350M in annual North American transportation & warehousing spend.

What do you get to do in this position?
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for our Logistics Operations team
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in Logistics, Finance, and related Supply Chain functions
- Drive improvements in service and reduce inventory for an optimal logistics experience
- Lead negotiation roadmaps using a collaborative project management approach
- Oversee commercial relationships with third-party suppliers and track key performance indicators
- Support leadership communications and contribute to year-over-year savings through negotiations
- Responsible for year-over-year savings through transportation and warehousing negotiations, including calculating and coordinating inputs for realized savings
- Support logistics procurement digitization initiatives, and promote simplicity and speed in all undertakings
- Reports to the Regional Commodity Manager – AMERICAS Logistics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or Operations with 10+ years of progressive experience
- Exhibited North American procurement leadership experience in scope exceeding over $100M in annual spend
- Exhibited North American procurement leadership experience in a large subset of following varied modes of supply chain transport and warehousing support currently utilized by Schneider Electric:
- Full truckload
- Less-than-truckload (LTL)
- Fleet truckload management
- Flatbed truckload
- Intermodal
- Expedite
- White glove project delivery
- Domestic parcel & air
- Seaport dray to destination
- MX & CAN cross-border operation
- Customs brokerage,
- Third-party logistics (3PL) warehousing
- Lead transport provider (LTP) services
- Superior negotiating skills and experience working in a strategic and logistics operational environment
- Familiar with Procurement tools
