Digital Solutions in Vestas provides end-to-end digitalization within Vestas. You will assist improve IT efficiency, integrate digital solutions further into our customer offering, improve our employees' digital experience, and support our core processes across the value chain.
Our department, Core Infrastructure & Network, is a part of the Digital Solutions area. Our department is responsible for designing, developing & operating network infrastructure services and security while ensuring enhancements throughout the lifecycle of platforms and services. The department is responsible for WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, load balancers, data center network, cloud networking, and all the supporting systems associated. Our DevOps team will collaborate with all teams within the department to facilitate monitoring and automation needs.
Core Infrastructure & Network aims to provide seamless and secure global network services, even ahead of business needs. A highly trusted, secure, and well-designed network infrastructure is key for this vision. As a Senior Network Developer in Core Infrastructure & Networks, you will bring your knowledge of DevOps tools, network components, and security services into play in both working with technical design and testing of new implementations and the ongoing maturing of existing platforms and services.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Network Developer, you'll leverage your solid network experience to automate, deploy, configure, and monitor our network. This involves:
- Configuration management via Ansible, Python, NETCONF, jinja2, and GitLab
- Maintaining our Source of Truth (NetBox)
- Enabling strict central control of our fleet of +5000 Cisco devices
- Evolve our monitoring capabilities, via our tailored monitoring platform, based on influx/ClickHouse/Kafka/Grafana and Alerta:
- Netflow collection and visualization
- SNMP and CLI scraping, Syslog & MDT (YANG models)
- Alarm definitions and dashboard development
- We expect you to either develop or guide developers working on the above stack of systems, contributing with your solid network background but want to move deeper into the automation and monitoring realm
Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering, science, or related and experience working with the development and support of large networks
- 5-7 years experience in a similar job
- Relevant networking or automation certifications as an alternative to formal education (e.g. Cisco DevNet Professional)
- Experience with any of the following:
- NetConf, RestConf and Yang
- Python, Golang, OpenAPI, CI/CD, Git
- Automation using Ansible or comparable tools
- Automated testing, using various test frameworks
- Influx, ClickHouse, Kafka and Grafana
- Kubernetes & Docker
